About The Factory System

The Code is New. The Logic is Eternal.

We are watching our entire industry change in real-time. For decades, software development was a "cottage industry." We hand-crafted every function, manually provisioned servers, and wrote boilerplate until our fingers hurt. Today, AI is turning the IDE into a factory floor. We are moving from weaving by hand to managing systems that weave for the world.

But here is the problem with mass production: When you build faster, you break faster. AI can generate the code, but it can't tell you why the packet was dropped, why the latency is spiking, or why the database locked up at 3:00 AM.

The Mission: Operational Reality

TheFactorySystem.ai is a resource for the builders, the architects, and the operators.

We aren't here to hype the "end of coding." We are here to figure out how to thrive in this new reality. We bridge the gap between the "New Stack" (AI, Agents, LLMs) and the "Old Guard" disciplines that keep them running:

  • Infrastructure: The physical and virtual rails your code runs on.
  • Troubleshooting: The lost art of logical deduction in a complex environment.
  • Resilience: Keeping the factory running when the components are unpredictable.

Meet the Troubleshooter

The Factory System is led by Michael Elias, a Senior Principal Operations Engineer.

Michael is not a developer. He is an Ops Guy. His career hasn't been defined by the code he writes, but by the fires he puts out.

  • The Foundation: Michael's roots are in the physical internet. In the 90s, he founded Treespan, a boutique ISP in SoHo NYC. He learned the internet by wiring it, managing the literal connections that brought the dot-com era online.
  • The Discipline: He later established the Kernel Consulting Group, supporting high-compliance environments in Finance and Insurance. He comes from a background steeped in the rigorous standards of Cisco, Red Hat, and Fortinet ecosystems.
  • The Superpower: Today, at Dun & Bradstreet, Michael brings a singular focus to the team: Resolution.

His expertise is Troubleshooting. In a world of complex, distributed systems, Michael specializes in the exceptional logic required to walk a complex issue from "Unknown Error" to "Resolved."

Join the Factory Floor

We believe the future belongs to the Factory Managers—the ones who understand how the machines work, how to fix them when they break, and how to direct the output.

Whether you are a Software Engineer, an Infra Builder, or a Team Lead, you are welcome here.

Welcome to The Factory System.
